Fire Alarm Symbols

NFPA 72 requires that all fire alarm drawing use the symbols described in NFPA 170 (Standard for Fire Safety and Emergency Symbols) unless other symbols are acceptable to the AHJ. The NFPA 170 standard covers all aspects of fire safety, emergency systems, and related hazards. A sample of the symbols used in NFPA 170 are listed below.
