What Happens in Vegas…

The annual NTC Conference wrapped up in Las Vegas. After all the excitement, the clamoring of attendees, vendors and staff, there was a moment, just one moment of quiet in the lobby of the South Point Hotel and Casino. Sure there was the clacking of the slot machines, but all that seemed to fade for a moment of reflection.

I started NTC based on the philosophy of providing the very best in training to the industry. This year’s conference was the pinnacle of that philosophy. We had over 200 students in 10 different classes over three days. Our instructors included five NICET Level 4 technicians with decades of industry experience and instructional expertise.

Our NICET classes were packed. It is always amazing to me that such intense study of the code is something our attendees have just as much passion for as our instructors. The fire alarm design classes really focused on all aspects of design. Design is really a separate career path in our industry and there is substantial need and interest in it. New in 2025 was our ERCES track. This is an up and coming technology which many fire alarm companies are taking the lead as it ties in really well with what we are already doing. It is another aspect of life safety in buildings. Our NICET Water Based I&T and Layout classes included techs from many of the most prominent companies in the industry.

As I reviewed the class evaluations from the attendees, it matched what I experienced in the classroom myself. Training Excellence in every sense. I could not be more proud of the NTC staff, instructors and attendees for making this event The Very Best in Training.
